As the Qujiadian Water Project in Tianjin started to discharge on March 14th, 2025, the Yongding River realized full line flow as scheduled, marking the 5th consecutive year of its full line flow since 2021.
Since the beginning of 2025, the ecological water replenishment of the Yongding River has been carried out in an orderly manner. As of March 14th, various types of water projects have cumulatively released 110 million m3 of ecological water, laying a solid foundation for the full line flow of the Yongding River. According to the 2025 Yongding River Water Volume Scheduling Plan approved by Ministry of Water Resources, diverse types of water projects will discharge 771 million m3 of ecological water to the Yongding River in 2025, thus ensuring the full-channel connectivity of the Yongding River, and connecting upstream and downstream rivers, streams and wetlands, as well as surface and underground.
After years of enduring ecological water recharge, the Yongding River has gradually accomplished the normalization of its full line flow, reflecting a new stage in the field of water scheduling of the Yongding River. In the future, Ministry of Water Resources will spare no efforts to rehabilitate the healthy life of the Yongding River on the basis of ensuring the achievement of the annual water scheduling target for the whole-year and entire-channel flow of the Yongding River.
